Pirate101 offers five different classes for players to experience allowing you to create a pirate with a variety of strengths and weaknesses. The five classes are Buccaneer, Musketeer, Privateer, Swashbuckler and Witchdoctor.

Buccaneers: rely on strength and power, they use the heaviest weapons and the strongest armor meaning they can survive alot of damage.

Musketeers: are the marksmen of the Pirate101 world and rely on their firearms and trick shots to with their fights. They also have access to obstacles and traps to keep their enemies at a distance.

Privateers: are leaders who can rally troops and boost their powers or heal allies. The Privateer can recruit more companions then any other class making them a great choice for people who prefer to fight in groups.

Swashbucklers: are the thief like class in Pirate101 and rely on speed and sneaking power to dodge enemy attacks. Swashbucklers are skilled with a sword but cannot equip the large weapons that the Buccaneer can.

Witchdoctors: use magic to win their battles. This magic power lets them weaken their foes with hexes or blast them with fire. The range of the witchdoctors skills allow him to stay a safe distance from his enemies
